Hot news for Iranian Tourism Visa issuance; E-visa in 2 days

Hot news for Iranian Tourism Visa issuance; E-visa in 2 days

Iranian visa will be issued electronically in 48 hours. This new service for foreign travelers will be tested in March 2011 for visitors attending the Iranian international conference on electronic citizen, according to the conference chairman, Muhammad Ghalamchi. “E-visa will soon be available for public use” the official added.

Although the real practice of issuing visa electronically may not be publicly available as soon as predicted, even the vow that such service will be possible soon is so promising for Iran tourism industry. Currently, visa issuance is mostly done through the usual procedures by getting a reference code and going to nearest Iranian consulate which takes at least a few weeks. After all, the process may be much faster and easier for those interested in visiting the amazing Iran. In recent years, Iran has tried to offer some new services for Iran travel. Let's keep our fingers crossed so this will happen soon.

(Note: the issuance of this type of e-visa hasn't started yet. May 2011).
