We would really like to visit an oasis town and if possible camp there... any recommendations for good places? Are there other places than Garme and mesr?

Of course, Garme and Mesr are one of the most interesting places to visit in the desert but if you are looking for an oasis which is less touristy, try Khour, Biabanak, anarak and Haftoman which are all in the central desert in the north of Isfahan province near Naeen city. Visiting desert can be really relaxing and refreshing especially at nights.

Still looking for an oasis, try Zeinodin Caravansari Between Yazd and Kerman which is quite atmospheric.

In summer when the desert is a little inhospitable, I suggest the West and North West. Masoule in the north and Howraman valley in the west are worth a two-day visit. The nature is so beautiful and the weather is so nice. I believe they are also oasis towns.

These areas become corwed in high season and sometimes traveling alone can be difficult. If you feel you need some advance arrangement and booking, just send us an inquiry at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
