Persian Time – Weekly Group Tour
Day1 Arrival in Tehran- Transfer to the hotel
Walk through centuries of civilization starting from prehistoric era to the more recent post Islamic period in the Iran Archeological museum. Visit the Iranian treasury; items from years of monarchy at Jewelry Museum, alternatively visit the carpet museum to get acquainted with Persian carpet types and styles.
Day2 Shiraz
In the morning, fly to Shiraz - Transfer to the hotel
In the afternoon, visit Vakil complex including the bazaar, Vakil mosque with special tile work, spend an hour in the quiet corner of an old Caravansary (Sareye Moshir) which has changed into an antique shopping center. Have some thirst-quenching ethnic dessert from Shiraz.
In the afternoon, visit beautiful Eram Garden as a world heritage garden with myriad trees and flowers.
Day3 Shiraz
Early in the morning, get ready to see the most grandeur remaining structure of Achaemenian Empire. Stop at the city’s northern entrance to see the famous Quran Gate en route to Persepolis, and then drive some 45 km towards Persepolis. After spending some hours in spectacular palaces of the 2500 year-old Persepolis, drive a few kilometers further to Necropolis (Naghsh e Rostam) where you can see the tomb chambers of Achaemenian Emperors dug into the mountain and the carvings of the Sassanid’s dynasty depicting their victories over Romans as well as a 5000 year old Ilomite carving.In the afternoon, visit the tomb of the most inspiring Persian poet of all time, Hafez Shirazi.. Get amazed at the wonderful architecture with mystic interpretations and recite some poems of Hafez in the divine atmosphere.
Day 4 Kerman
Early in the morning drive to Kerman. You will feel the desert life here as you are on the way to Kerman through desert surrounded roads. Get prepared to discover the beauties and difficulties of this style of life.
Day 5 Kerman
In the morning, visit Ganjalikhan complex including its Hammam, Mosque, water cistern, Caravanserai and Bazaar. Get yourself acquinted with mystic ideas of Sufis. Experience it first hand by visiting one of the leader’s tomb; shrine of a renounced and respected Sufi, Shah Nematollah Vali.
Day 6 Kerman
Early in the morning, drive to Mahan and visit Shazdeh gardens. Then drive to Lout desert and visit Rayen Citadel. Later drive to Shahdad desert and discover the hottest place on earth.
Day 7 Zeinodin
Early in the morning drive toward Yazd. Stay in the amazing Zeinodin Caravansary to complete your desert experience. Feel the atmospheric building with its amazing and spectacular desert scenes especially at night watching stars in the clear sky.
Day 8 Yazd
In the morning, set off to Yazd. (Just 60 km away) and start visiting the silence towers and learn about burial customs. Later visit the Zoroastrian fire temple (the holiest place for Zoroastrians in Iran) and see the sacred fire for yourself. Learn more about Zoroastrianism. In the morning, visit Yazd water museum and learn about underground water canals. Later visit Yazd Jame Mosque and marvelous Islamic Amir chaghmagh complex. Also walk through nostalgic alley and see the wind towers as a traditional and amazing cooling system.
Day 9 Yazd
You will have your leisure time today to explore things on your own.
Day 10 Isfahan
In the morning, drive to Isfahan and visit Isfahan’s famous Imam or the Royal Square which is a registered world heritage. The amazing Alighapoo, the picturesque Imam mosque with unique tile work and the azurous Sheikh lotf alllah will take you to Safavid era, and make you motionless gazing at the beauties of Islamic architecture. At the corner of the square you can enter the Qeysariye bazaar and do some window shopping, looking at a variety of handicrafts.
Day 11 Isfahan
In the morning visit the Armenian quarter called Jolfa where a large number of Christians have settled for years, then go to gaze at their marvelous Vank Church which reminds you of old churches in Europe. Later, visit another masterpiece of Safavid art, Chehel Sotoon palace with eye-catching miniature paintings.
Day 12 Isfahan
Today, take your time and enjoy the world famous bridges of Isfahan particularly Si-o-se-pol and Khajoo at leisure.
Day 13 Kashan
In the morning, drive to Kashan to visit some of the most impressive royal and traditional houses. House of some nobles such as Tabatabai and Boroojerdiha. Later see the elegantly designed Fin gardens of Kashan. Last but not the least, taste Iranian food at a local family house and learn some of their cooking secrets.
Day 14 Tehran – Departure
In the morning drive to Tehran. Get transferred for your departure.
